Card 14

Temperance

Major · TrumpSagittarius

Description

An angel pours water between two cups in a thin steady stream. One foot on land, one foot in water. The water doesn't spill. The card is the art of getting the mix right. Not too much of one thing, not too little of the other.

Upright Meanings

Patience. You don't have to pick the extreme. Temperance says blend, slow down, find the middle that actually works. Two things you've been treating as opposites can be combined. The breakthrough is in the proportion, not the bigger gesture. You're learning to do something well by doing it gradually. Trust that.

Reversed Meanings

Out of balance. Working too much, eating too much, spending too much, arguing too much. One area swelled until it ate the others. The fix isn't more discipline; it's smaller corrections more often. Slow down enough to feel which dial is turned too high. Then turn it down a notch, not all the way off.
